Billie McKenna’s Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2016. The foundation consists of volunteers who have come together because of a little girl, Billie McKenna, who touched many lives without saying a word.
Children who are challenged with a long term disability or developmental delays are introduced to a world of extensive Physical, Occupational, Speech and Feeding Therapy. Many therapists use toys as a stimulus to help developmentally delayed children move, reach, feel and explore. Toys provide an opportunity for all children to learn how things work and about their world. While playing with toys, children experience challenges, frustrations, successes, and the joy of mastery. This is true for all children, but especially those with special needs.
We are happy that you have decided to join us in our journey to provide readily available developmental and adaptive toys for children. Our website will explain our mission and the story of an amazing little girl, Billie McKenna, who taught us so much, but left us much too soon.
Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.
